What is the availability of the DX15? I can't buy one from your dealers.

The DX15 is currently sold out and is not currently in production. The DX15 is not available directly from Dynon Avionics. Production of the DX15 may be restarted in the future, but there are no estimates available when that may happen..

When was the DX15 first offered for sale?

100 DX15s were offered for sale in a "dutch auction" (detail 1, detail 2, detail 3). The DX15 was available for general sale through dealers concurrent with (and at) EAA AirVenture 2011 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Can the DX15 be used outside the US?

The DX15 is certified with the US FCC for use only in the USA. It has not been certified for use in other countries.

The frequency range (which is standardized worldwide) is not the issue using the DX15 outside the US. Rather, every radio transmitting device must be certified in the country of use, and the DX15 has not been certified for use anywhere other than the US.

Additionally, the DX15's AC Adapter and Desktop Charger are designed for 115 Volts, 60 Hz and does NOT auto-adjust (unlike many AC adapters such as for wireless phones). It is NOT sufficient to merely use a plug adapter with the DX15's AC adapter(s). If the DX15's AC adapter cubes are connected to 220V, not only will the AC adapter be damaged, but the DX15 will also be damaged. Such damage is considered misuse, and is not repairable, nor covered under warranty. The sole remedy for such damage is to buy another DX15.

What Push-To-Talk switches are compatible with the DX15?
